Recovery looks different for every person. These stories reflect the experiences of individuals who received services through Connecting Bridges, LLC.
Names and identifying details have been withheld to protect client confidentiality. Individual experiences and outcomes vary.
One client came to Connecting Bridges experiencing homelessness while struggling with cocaine and alcohol use. Through SACOT treatment, care coordination, recovery support, and assistance accessing housing resources, he worked toward both recovery and greater stability.
Within four months, he obtained stable housing and employment. He also began rebuilding relationships with his family and continued participating in recovery-support groups.
“For the first time, I believe I can stay sober.”
His experience demonstrates why Connecting Bridges addresses more than substance use alone. Recovery can also involve rebuilding stability, relationships, independence, and hope.
Another client came to Connecting Bridges with a complex history of substance use and significant medical and personal challenges. She had survived severe burn injuries associated with a methamphetamine-related incident and later struggled with additional substance use.
During her first admission, Connecting Bridges helped coordinate treatment, medication-related services, medical referrals, recovery support, and employment resources. She completed 120 days of services and obtained employment.
After experiencing a relapse and significant mental health symptoms, she returned to Connecting Bridges for additional treatment rather than allowing the setback to define her recovery. Her second admission included renewed clinical support, court advocacy, assistance with housing resources, and connection to community-based recovery support, including Narcotics Anonymous.
She went on to maintain sobriety, establish stable housing, and return to employment.
“Connecting Bridges helped me get my life back. They make sure no one is left behind and always check on you. I learned to take one day at a time.”
These experiences reflect the philosophy behind Connecting Bridges: treatment is not simply about stopping substance use. It is about helping individuals develop the skills, resources, support, and stability needed to build a different life.
