Structured day treatment, Monday through Friday, 10a–2p, at our Jamestown office.
SACOT is a comprehensive outpatient level of care that provides more structure and support than a traditional weekly therapy session without requiring residential or overnight care.
The program meets in person at our Jamestown office Monday through Friday from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. To maintain a supportive and engaging treatment environment, groups are limited to no more than 10 clients per session. The smaller group setting allows clients to participate in meaningful discussions, receive individualized attention, practice new skills, and develop supportive connections with others in recovery.
Each four-hour session includes a combination of psychoeducation, therapeutic interventions, CBT-based strategies, coping-skills development, relapse prevention, structured activities, group processing, and practical recovery and life-skills work. Topics address both substance use and co-occurring mental health needs.
The SACOT program is structured for up to 120 days of treatment. Throughout the program, each client’s progress, treatment needs, goals, and readiness for a less intensive level of care are continually reviewed. Our goal is not simply to have clients attend treatment for 120 days. It is to use that time to help them develop the knowledge, coping skills, stability, support system, and recovery plan needed to successfully transition to the next appropriate level of care.
SACOT (Substance Abuse Comprehensive Outpatient Treatment) is designed for adults with substance use disorders who need a highly structured level of treatment and support but do not require 24-hour residential care.
SACOT may be appropriate for an individual who is experiencing significant difficulty maintaining recovery, has a history of repeated relapse or continued substance use, needs frequent therapeutic intervention and monitoring, or has co-occurring mental health symptoms that complicate recovery. Individuals may also have challenges involving housing, employment, relationships, legal concerns, daily functioning, or limited recovery supports that increase the need for a structured treatment environment.
Placement in SACOT is based on a clinical assessment of the individual’s needs, strengths, risks, functioning, recovery environment, and appropriate level of care.
